Peter himself has been part of the family's suitcase business almost his entire life, because they were "born" roughly at the same time, 29 years ago. Since he left high school 10 years ago, he has been employed full-time in the business, and today he is a store manager in the classy flagship store on Vesterbrogade. It was the parents, Lene and Claus Bachmann, who in their time started the wholesale company Kuffert Kompagniet selling the best brands of the time in suitcases and travel bags and a collection of their own under the name KKDK of Copenhagen. Later, the Copenhagen Luggage retail store was added on Vesterbrogade. "From the time I was little, I was allowed to take part in the daily work and get the suitcases ready, just as there has always been a great deal of talk about suitcases, quality and customer service at the dinner table at our house. Therefore, it was not difficult to make the decision to help drive the company forward.”
